1. Who We Are

Sitemark ("we", "us", "our") is a construction intelligence SaaS platform operated by Sitemark Inc. We provide tools for engineers and contractors to upload blueprints, annotate drawings, track progress, and generate reports.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account information: Name, email address, company name, role, and password (hashed, never stored in plain text).
• Project data: Blueprint files you upload (images, PDFs, DWG/DXF), annotations, measurements, calibrations, QC responses, progress photos, and comments you create.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, browser type, device type, and IP address — collected for security and product improvement only.
• Payment data: Billing is processed entirely by Stripe. We store only your subscription status and plan. We never see or store your full card number.
• Communications: If you contact support, we retain those messages to resolve issues.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and improve the Sitemark platform and its features.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
• Send transactional emails (account creation, password reset, team invitations).
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with analytics companies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Blueprint files and photos are stored in encrypted cloud object storage. We use HTTPS for all connections, and passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Cookies

Sitemark uses only essential cookies required to keep you signed in (JWT tokens stored in localStorage). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing. Their privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
• Google Fonts — typography only. No user data is shared.
• Google Gemini AI — for the optional AI drawing analyzer. Images sent for analysis are not stored by us beyond your session.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Export your project data in standard formats (JSON/CSV).
• Object to or restrict certain types of processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@sitemarkapp.com. We will respond within 14 days.

8. International Transfers

Sitemark operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers in accordance with applicable data protection law.

9. Children's Privacy

Sitemark is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
